FLAT-FLEX® Festooning Cable

Applications
FLAT-FLEX® Festooning Cable is primarily designed for use with festoon systems for the conveyance of electrical power and control to cranes, hoists, or any other equipment which travels with a lateral traversing motion. FLAT-FLEX® cables can also be used where space is at a premium, since it can be stacked; or where extreme flexing is a requirement, recommended bend radius of three to five times cable diameter. FLAT-FLEX® cables are suitable for either indoor or outdoor applications operating at -40°C to 105°C. However, they are not recommended for severe flexing or impact at temperatures below -10°C. For severe flexing applications below -10°C, specify FLAT-FLEX® Neoprene Festoon Cables.

INDUSTRITE C-FLEX Power and Control
For shipyard crane and festoon systems / 90° C to -40° C / 600V
Applications
INDUSTRITE C-FLEX cables are designed and manufactured for use in festoon systems functioning on gantry cranes or other material handling equipment.
C-FLEX cables are typically used in applications requiring frequent flexing and mechanical stress. C-FLEX is recommended for festoon systems operating at travel speeds up to 200 meters per minute. Consult Draka for speeds greater than 200 m/min based on system design.

Crane Basket Spreader Cable
For high-speed container cranes / 24 to 48 conductors / 160 m/min travel speed rubber jacket / 600V
Applications
All temp basket spreader cable is specifically designed for use on the latest generations of high-speed container cranes with gravity-fed collector baskets. They combine the features of superior flexibility with additional ballast needed to operate at speeds of up to 160 meters/ min (8.75 ft/sec).
Features such as extra stranded conductors and non-wicking, non-hygroscopic fillers and synthetic rubber insulation produce a cable that is both durable and flexible. Group bundling around an aramid central strength member reduces the chance for knotting or corkscrewing. A specially formulated ‘heavy’ synthetic rubber jacket adds the weight needed to perform despite poor basket design or high winds. The operating temperature range is -40° to +90°C.
This cable can be produced with shielded copper or ber optic data communications components. This cable is RoHS (Reduction Of Hazardous Substances) compliant which eliminates the need for special disposal methods.
NOTE: This cable is not designed for applications using sheaves or guide rollers.
